About Your Holistic Life Coach in Bristol
I’m Liz Barile-Page, a holistic life coach in Bristol, UK who combines Heroic Coaching, BAST sound therapy, therapeutic yoga, and mountain leadership. As a holistic life coach, Bristol based, I work with individuals navigating major transitions and organisations building genuine wellbeing cultures. Whether you need a life coach Bristol can rely on for transformation or you’re seeking something deeper than standard wellness programs, this whole-person approach addresses mind, body, nervous system, and spirit together.
Who is this for?
You might be here because something needs to change, but you’re not sure where to start.
If you're an individual..
Perhaps you're navigating a life transition and feeling unmoored. Experiencing career burnout but every "solution" feels surface-level. Moving through perimenopause or a major identity shift without the support you need. You've achieved external success but feel hollow inside. You're craving something deeper than another productivity hack or wellness trend. You want real transformation, not just coping strategies.
If you're leading an organisation...
You're watching talented people burn out and disengage. You know that offering gym memberships and fruit bowls isn't creating genuine wellbeing. You're committed to retention through meaningful support, not checkbox wellness. You want team experiences that actually shift something, not just inspire people for an afternoon before they return to the same patterns.
The common thread?
You're ready for whole person work that addresses mind, body, nervous system, and spirit together. Because you know that real change requires all of it.
Most coaches work only with mindset.
Most yoga teachers work only with the body.
Sound therapists focus on nervous system regulation.
Mountain guides handle the outdoor piece.
But here’s what I’ve learned: transformation happens in the spaces between these practices, not in isolation.
Holistic Life Coaching gives you the frameworks and questions to see your patterns clearly. Yoga teaches your body to move through stuck places. Sound therapy reaches the tension that words can’t access and resets your nervous system at a physiological level. Nature strips away performance and pretense, demanding you show up authentic and present.
When you combine them, something alchemical happens. The insight from coaching lands in your body through yoga. The release from sound therapy creates space for new patterns. The mountain trek becomes a literal and metaphorical journey that integrates it all.
This isn’t about variety for the sake of it.
It’s about meeting the whole person where they actually are.
Why These Modalities Work Together
Here’s what I’ve learned as a Holistic Coach: transformation happens in the spaces between these practices, not in isolation.
How I Became a Holistic Life Coach in Bristol, UK
My Journey to Holistic Coaching
I didn’t plan to become a life coach who takes people up mountains while playing gongs and teaching yoga. But looking back, every piece makes sense.
Initially, I trained as an artist (BFA Fine Arts), which taught me to see things from unexpected angles and approach problems creatively rather than formulaically. Then moved to the UK to complete an MA (History of Photography and Art Business). I funded my emerging art practice through corporate business development roles, which taught me how organisations actually work and where the friction points live.
Then divorce cracked me open in a way that changed everything.
Finding My Path in the Mountains
I’m originally from Florida, flat as a calm sea, where the biggest hills are highway overpasses. When I came to the UK and discovered climbing and the Cornish sea cliffs, then later the mountains, I found something I didn’t have words for. Those rock faces and peaks demanded I show up fully present, courageous, and authentic. There’s no performing on a mountain. There’s only you, the route, and the truth.
Building My Toolkit as a Life Coach
That experience was so profound I couldn’t keep it to myself. I retrained in everything that had helped me transform:
- Heroic Coaching (a methodology rooted in positive psychology)
- Yoga (200 hours YTT plus advanced restorative training with Stone Yoga School)
- Sound therapy (British Academy of Sound Therapy)
- Women’s therapeutic yoga (Uma Dinsmore-Tuli’s Yoni Shakti framework),
- Summer Mountain Leader qualification (Plas y Brenin) to safely guide others into wild places.
Each qualification wasn’t about collecting certificates. It was about building a toolkit that could reach people wherever they were stuck. Because I know what it’s like to feel lost. And I know the way out isn’t one-dimensional.
Now as a holistic life coach in Bristol, I bring the type of direct, positive, motivational American energy to the UK wellness landscape while being deeply rooted in the British mountains that taught me what transformation actually looks like.
Holistic Life Coaching
What this combination means for you?
You get someone who can work with your mindset, your body, your nervous system, and your relationship with nature. Someone who understands corporate environments and individual transformation. Someone trained in evidence based methodologies but grounded in real lived experience.
Heroic Coach
Methodology combining positive psychology, the hero’s journey narrative framework, and strategic life design. Focuses on identifying core values, overcoming limiting beliefs, and creating actionable transformation plans.
Summer Mountain Leader
UK national qualification for leading groups in mountain and moorland terrain in summer conditions. This isn’t just hiking. It’s navigation, risk assessment, group management, and emergency response in wild environments.
BAST Sound Therapist
Trained through the British Academy of Sound Therapy, the UK’s first and most research-backed sound therapy training institution founded by Lyz Cooper. The BAST Method combines therapeutic sound with guided self-reflection and mindfulness, going beyond passive relaxation to support real processing and nervous system regulation
Yoga Teacher (200hr + Advanced Restorative)
Foundation training plus specialized restorative yoga certification with Janet Stone of Stone Yoga School. Janet’s approach integrates compassion, devotion, and the question “what do I need to set down to become free?” into restorative practice.
Women's Therapeutic Yoga
Training in Uma Dinsmore-Tuli’s Yoni Shakti framework, which addresses women’s health through all phases of life and monthly cycle using yoga as therapy (distinct from yoga therapy, which is a separate clinical qualification).
Total Yoga Nidra Teacher Training
Comprehensive training in the full living range of yoga nidra methods, lineages, and levels, going beyond single trademarked or traditional forms. This foundation teaches what yoga nidra is in the broadest sense, how it works, and how to create responsive practices that adapt to individual needs. Uma’s approach is radical, creative, and intuitive, intersecting healing arts with yoga nidra and yoga therapy. This training is the foundation of my Wild Nidra offering, which takes this powerful liminal practice outdoors into nature.
BFA Fine Arts: Painting & Photography
Foundation in creative problem-solving, seeing from multiple perspectives, and approaching challenges with artistic sensibility rather than purely analytical thinking.
MA History of Photography & Art Business (Sotheby's Institute of Art)
Advanced study in visual culture, critical analysis, and the business of art. This training deepened my ability to read visual language, understand context and meaning-making, and approach creative work with both artistic sensibility and strategic business insight.
Working Together: The Holistic Life Coach Approach
Whether you’re an individual or an organisation, the approach is rooted in the same principles: we start where you actually are, not where you think you should be. We use the modalities that serve your specific situation. We build practices that integrate into your real life, not just the version you perform for others.
For individuals:
This might look like one-to-one coaching sessions, small group yoga, sound therapy experiences, or nature-based adventures. Often it’s a combination, tailored to what you need as you move through your transformation.
For organisations:
This might look like half-day wellness experiences, multi-day mountain leadership immersions, ongoing monthly partnerships, or bespoke programmes that blend sound healing, mindfulness, coaching, yoga, and nature connection. The goal is always genuine culture shift, not one-off inspiration.
The work is collaborative. I’ll meet you with integrity, courage, and real connection. I’ll ask powerful questions. I’ll hold space for what needs to shift. And I’ll walk beside you as you find your way.
The invitation
If you've read this far and something resonates, let's talk. Whether you're an individual ready to reclaim your life or an organisation committed to meaningful change, I'm hereas your holistic life coach Bristol that you can trust for whole-person transformation.
- Accepting the call to explore the unknown parts of yourself
- Stepping into discomfort where real growth happens
- Trusting the journey even when you can’t see the destination
- Connecting with something larger than your daily struggles
Some of my clients find their Inner Adventure through one-on-one coaching sessions that uncover hidden patterns and possibilities. Others discover it through sound therapy experiences that release what words cannot. Still others need to literally get on a mountain trail to remember their strength.
The ‘adventure’ is always both metaphorical and literal. We use nature experiences, whether guided meditation connecting you to earth energy or an actual wilderness trek, to mirror and accelerate your internal journey.
What's all this about 'adventure'?
Adventure isn’t just about summiting peaks or crossing finishing lines, though those experiences can be powerful catalysts for growth.
